We started to lay out the garden in 1986.  The interest in gardening and plants were "normal" in the first couble of years. In the late 80th, we got seeds from the Swedish seed company, Impecta and by an old gardener in Sundby Mors, PCO Nørgård, we got a handful of seeds from  the tree peony, P. delavayi. It germinate the following year and soon were the first plants ready to be planted in the garden. These plants were for us much more valuable than those we bought at the nursery. Since then have we got many plants from seeds.

Around 1990 we became a member of the Alpine Garden Society and now we were in contact with other people who had the same interest as us, plants and collecting.

Since then we have become a member of several clubs and associations and it has resulted to that, there in the garden today, are several large and small collections.

West of the house, is the garden divided in more rooms, three small lawns and a path is the particular to tie the garden together.

In this area we used Hosta along the edge. The path is covered by stone. The trough is particular planted with a slow-growing scrub.

ADONIS DAHURECA FL.PL.

ADONIS DAHURECA FL.PL.

An Adonis I bought several years ago through the Danish Iris & Lilium club, but I have never been able to find information about this. The only place I have seen it referred to it from Jürgen Peters in Germany: http://www.alpinepeters.de/katalog/Preisliste_2003.PDF I have been told that it is an A. amurensis from Poland. It is only flowering for me when A. amurensis is withered and it is also smaller than A. amurensis.

Area with peony

Several places in the garden there are planted peony.

Paeonia tenuifolia Rosea

In May several species of peony is flowering. P. tenuifolia have normal individual, dark red flowers and is also available with double flowers and a rare form with pink flowers.

NEW BED 2006

The old rockgarden has been shadowed for the alpine plants. I changed the ground and has planted particular Trillium and Helleborus. The new bed was made after we had removed a bamboo which had flowered.
